Rossano JW et al. - Hyperglycemia does not appear to be detrimental in postoperative infants with congenital heart disease. Infants who spent the majority of the time with glucose values between 80 and 110 mg/dL were at increased risk for adverse events. The ideal glycemic profile in the postoperative cardiac infant has yet to be defined.
