De Girolamo L et al. – This paper presents a case report of a 27–year–old male patient affected by a large osteochondral defect of the medial femoral condyle (6 cm2) in a varus knee. He was treated with a combined approach consisting of high tibial osteotomy and autologous matrix–induced chondrogenesis technique enhanced by a bone marrow–enriched bone graft. Twelve months after surgery, the patient reported considerable reduction in pain and significant increase in his quality of life.
