Clinical Article
Ladas ID et al. – Intravitreal ranibizumab showed promising results in best corrected visual acuity (BCVA) improvement and decrease in macular thickness in patients with extrafoveal classic choroidal neovascularization due to age–related macular degeneration, with a small number of injections. Laser photocoagulation treatment presented worsening in BCVA and high recurrence rate in the study with long–term follow–up.
