Perez–Ferre N et al. – The immigrant Hispanic population living in Spain trends to acquire the same risk factors associated with lifestyle than the indigenous population. Preventive strategies must stress on the increase of physical activity and fibre intake, decrease of sweetened beverages and to achieve an effective reduction in body weight before pregnancy.
