Prevalence of nonspecific cutaneous vascular lesions and association with antiphospholipid antibodies in patients with systemic lupus erythematosus
British Journal of Dermatology, 06/12/2012
Hawro T et al. – Lupus nonspecific vascular skin lesions are widely expressed in systemic lupus erythematosus (SLE) but found also in other diseases. Their distribution, prevalence and association with antiphospholipid antibodies in SLE remain to be characterized in detail. Underlying vasculitic or thromboembolic pathology are considered.
- The aim of the study was to evaluate clinical correlations of lupus nonspecific vascular skin manifestations in SLE patients and to investigate the relationship between particular skin lesions of vascular type and antiphospholipid antibodies.
