Acute and long-term results of carotid stenting under proximal embolic protection using the Gore Flow Reversal System
Catheterization and Cardiovascular Interventions, 06/14/2012
Bode A et al. – These results demonstrate that carotid artery stenting (CAS) using the gore flow reversal system (GFRS) is safe whether the original or new device versions were used. The periprocedural stroke rate is at least as low as the stroke rate reported using distal protection. The long–term stroke rate after CAS is low.
