Aicher BO et al. – Diet–induced weight loss in overweight or obese women is associated with a decrease in high–density lipoprotein cholesterol (HDL–C) levels, but overall HDL function is relatively spared, suggesting that decrease in HDL–C in this setting is not deleterious to cardiovascular risk.
