This course is jointly sponsored by the Divisions of Rheumatology at the Massachusetts General Hospital and the Brigham & Women's Hospital. It will focus on new advances in the pathogenesis, diagnosis and management of rheumatic diseases. The course is intended for rheumatologists, rheumatology fellows in training, and internists or other specialists with particular interests in rheumatic diseases. The lectures will cover selected topics related to the scientific basis of rheumatology and they will place special emphasis on practical clinical information for the diagnosis and management of the patients with rheumatic diseases. Conferences will include discussions of illustrative cases, and panel discussions of current issues in therapeutics.
