A 19-year-old Man with Auditory Hallucinations

Kotbi N et al. – A 19–year–old man presented with auditory hallucinations and paranoia. His psychotic symptoms were of 8 weeks’ duration and were preceded by more than 1 year of social isolation and poor functioning. He was hospitalized and diagnosed with schizophrenia. Organic causes were ruled out, and risperidone was started. He was treated with risperidone 6 mg daily and was referred to psychotherapy.
