Sihto H et al. – High intratumoral T–lymphocyte counts are associated with favorable survival in Merkel cell carcinoma (MCC). Although the numbers of T–cells are generally higher in Merkel cell polyomavirus (MCPyV)–positive than in MCPyV–negative MCC, high intratumoral T–cell counts are associated with favorable survival also in MCPyV–negative MCC.
