Acute hemodynamic response to biventricular pacing in heart failure patients with narrow, moderately, and severely prolonged QRS duration
Heart Rhythm, 08/08/2012
Ploux S et al. – Baseline QRS duration is linearly related to acute hemodynamic response to biventricular (BiV) pacing. Patients with a narrow QRS duration do not derive hemodynamic improvement. This improvement is also limited in patients with a moderately prolonged QRS duration, raising questions about the potential clinical benefit of this therapy in these patients.
