Neurally adjusted ventilator assist versus pressure support ventilation for noninvasive ventilation during acute respiratory failure: a cross-over physiological study
Chest, 06/04/2012
Bertrand PM et al. – In view of specific experimental conditions, the comparison of pressure support ventilation and neurally adjusted ventilator assist (NAVA) indicated that NAVA significantly reduced severe patient–ventilator asynchrony and resulted in similar improvements in gas exchange during noninvasive ventilation for acute respiratory failure.
