Briggs AM et al. – To effectively manage rheumatoid arthritis (RA), community–based physiotherapists require excellent communication skills and disease–specific knowledge, including understanding the role of the multi–disciplinary team and the principles of early referral and chronic disease management and monitoring. Physiotherapists identified a need for professional development (PD) to develop these skills.
