Schouten BJ et al. – C–type natriuretic peptide (CNP) production from tissues other than endochondral cartilage is responsive to thyroid hormones (TH). Strong temporal links with markers of bone resorption suggest that CNP may also participate in bone remodelling in the adult skeleton.
