Jernlas B et al. – Endobronchial ultrasound transbronchial needle aspiration (EBUS–TBNAis) a safe method with a learning curve that is easily overcome, although previous experience with ultrasound may be necessary. The diagnostic yield of Endobronchial ultrasound transbronchial needle aspiration is in accordance with previously reported yield of standard cervical mediastinoscopy. At present, however, the relationship between EBUS–TBNA and mediastinoscopy appears to be complementary rather than substitutive.
