Infection, 08/16/2011
Mallet M et al. – The present data suggest that, even though S. simulans remains rarely observed in clinical pathology, its role in osteoarticular infections, especially in the case of infected orthopedic devices, is not exceptional. As for the antibiotic treatment, the combination of rifampicin and levofloxacin seems to be an effective strategy according to authors' clinical results.
