Severity of ICU-acquired pneumonia according to infectious microorganisms
Intensive Care Medicine, 06/06/2011
Damas P et al.– The findings suggest that intensive care unit (ICU)–acquired pneumonia (ICUAP) was responsible for a minor proportion of organ dysfunctions or failures (OD/F) occurring during the ICU stay. Severity of ICUAP was related to clinical status prior to ICUAP, but not to the type of bacteria. ICU mortality depended on the severity of ICUAP.
