Oshiro TM et al. – Clinical protocols for DC–based therapeutic vaccine in HIV–infected individuals show that it is a safe and promising approach. Concomitantly, important advances continue to be made in the development of methodologies to optimize DC acquisition, as well as the selection of safe, immunogenic HIV antigens and the evaluation of immune response in treated individuals.
