Johnson AP et al. – MRSA bacteraemia in children was relatively uncommon and was predominantly seen in very young children, often those receiving neonatal or paediatric intensive care. Bacteraemia predominantly involved well documented epidemic strains of MRSA associated with nosocomial infection.
