Wylie K et al. – Female sexual dysfunction incorporates various sexual disorders including hypoactive sexual desire disorder, sexual arousal disorder, orgasmic and sexual pain disorders. Research has highlighted numerous pharmacological interventions that have been trialled and found to exhibit positive effects. These include hormonal therapies, prostaglandins, dopaminergic agonists, phosphodiesterase type–5 inhibitors and melanocortin agonists.
