Galor A et al. – A 76–year–old white male presented with a subconjunctival mass in the area of a previous posterior sub–Tenon's corticosteroid injection for wet age–related macular degeneration. Microbiologic and pathologic analysis of the mass revealed the causative organism to be the pigmented fungus Exophiala jeanselmei. This is the first published case of an Exophiala–associated subconjunctival mycetoma.
