Rehman A et al. – Two patients with acute intestinal obstruction underwent exploratory laparotomy after adequate fluid resuscitation and radiological imaging. A preoperative diagnosis of sigmoid volvulus and an operative diagnosis of ileosigmoid knotting or compound volvulus were established.
