Goyo D et al. – The authors report the case of a teenager with chronic lymphocytic meningitis in which Tropheryma whipplei (TW) 16S rRNA PCR was positive in two CSF samples and one duodenal biopsy. PCR targeting another specific sequence of TW and sequencing of the initially amplified 16S rRNA fragment did not confirm the results.
