Influenza A Subtyping: A Paradigm Shift in Influenza Diagnosis
Journal of Clinical Microbiology, 08/06/09
Vinikoor M et al. – The authors assessed the performance of Luminex xTAG RVP for subtyping 113 seasonal influenza A specimens from 2007–09 and 176 pandemic A/H1N1 specimens. The sensitivity of Luminex xTAG RVP for subtyping seasonal A/H1N1 and A/H3N2 was 100% and 82% respectively. An unsubtypable influenza A result had a PPV of 95.5% for pandemic A/H1N1.
