Chowers MY et al. - The authors investigated the influence of different interventions on the number of methicillin-resistant Staphylococcus aureus bacteremia cases. An interrupted time-series analysis was used. MRSA bacteremia cases were reduced by 70% when all interventions were in place. The authors proved monitoring to be an essential component.
