Wolffs PFG et al. - A multiplex ligation-dependent probe amplification assay for simultaneous detection of 6 virus species was developed and tested on clinical cerebrospinal fluids. The assay, termed MeningoFinder, showed an accordance of 97%, a concordance of 96%, an inter-laboratory sensitivity of 90% and an inter-laboratory specificity of 94% when compared to PCRs.
