CMS clarifies Medicare Part D fraud, waste, and abuse training requirement
American Pharmacists Association, 10/29/09
Pharmacies may continue to implement their own fraud, waste, and abuse training programs if certain conditions are met, according to clarification obtained from CMS and released by a coalition of pharmacy groups including APhA. In recent years, stakeholders have been uncertain whether pharmacies could continue to provide their own training to fulfill the CMS fraud, waste, and abuse training requirement or must receive training directly from Medicare Part D plan sponsors.
