Bush H – Hospital operations are increasingly focused on tracking and improving health care quality as missions oriented around patient safety, financial incentives to reduce health care acquired infections and transparency requirements have raised the stakes. For hospital trustees—many of whom have successful business careers but not necessarily prior health care experience—gaining a working knowledge of the ever–evolving health care quality movement can be daunting.
