The past two weeks have seen a sharp increase of information released by government agencies in preparation for a possible surge of H1N1 flu cases in the coming months. These efforts include communicating public health messages to mitigate the spread of the virus, identifying ways hospitals can best protect workforces while treating potential patient surges, and removing communications and regulatory barriers that might slow any response to a flu outbreak.
