The AHA recently named 13 health care leaders to its 2009–2010 class of Patient Safety Leadership Fellows. The fellows take part in a year–long leadership development program that helps them enhance the culture of safety and patient care within their organizations. In addition to completing self–study modules, the fellows participate in leadership retreats and monthly conference calls, and carry out safety and quality improvement projects in their home organizations.
