The economic downturn is taking a toll on workers' health

To save money, one in four workers is refusing medical treatment, and one in five is skipping prescription drug dosages. Stress and anxiety are having a deleterious effect on mental health for 40%, and financial health is reportedly worse for about half. In addition, 68% said having access to health benefits is a main reason for staying with their employer, and 52% considered cost to be the most important factor when choosing a health plan.
