KLAS Analyzes Infection Control Apps

A new report from the research firm KLAS Enterprises analyzes the market for infection control surveillance software. In addition to describing the role of the software and results achieved by hospitals using it, the report profiles applications from three leading vendors: Cardinal Health MedMined, Premier SafetySurveillor and TheraDoc Infection Control Assist. The report states that these program offer good interfaces for laboratory and admissions/discharge data, but concludes that other departmental connections still need development.
