Steinriede K - Washington is set to become the sixth state to require hospitals to test patients who are at high risk for methicillin-resistant Staphylococcus aureus infections. If Gov. Chris Gregoire signs the bill, as expected, Washington hospitals will be required to have a MRSA testing program in place by Jan. 1, 2010.
