Double staining CISH as a useful alternative to split-signal FISH in lymphoma diagnostics
Haematologica, 09/25/09
van Rijk A et al. – DuoCISH is equally reliable as FISH in detecting chromosomal breaks in lymphoid tissue. Although differences in morphology, Hematoxylin staining and CISH signal intensity vary between the tumor entities none of the entities appeared more easy or difficult to score.
Anke van Rijk, 09/29/09
| For routine application it is important that split-signal DuoCISH is at least as reliable as split-signal FISH, a well documented method for detecting chromosomal breaks in lymphoma samples. A great advantage of the CISH-technique is that it can be performed in every laboratory of pathology on routine samples without the need for specialized equipment to analyze the staining. Our data indicate that this method can facilitate the classification of lymphomas. |
