Tsunoda A et al. – Combined treatment with S-1 and irinotecan is an effective, well-tolerated, and convenient regimen in patients with advanced CRC.
Methods- S-1 was administered orally at 80 mg/m2/d x 21d followed by a 2-week rest
- Courses were repeated q5w
- 40 patients with advanced CRC
- CR = 1; PR = 24
- ORR = 62.5%
- Median PFS = 7.8 mos
- Grade 3 or 4 toxicities (neutropenia [12.5%], anorexia [12.5%], fatigue [10%], and diarrhea [7.5%]
