Burns KC et al. – The cure rate for pediatric malignancies continues to increase, creating a growing population of childhood cancer survivors. This group of individuals is at risk for many long–term late effects secondary to their cancer therapy. Endocrine problems are among the most frequently encountered long–term effects in this population. These effects may be evident immediately upon completion of therapy or they may not be evident until many years later.
