Pilot study of huachansu in patients with hepatocellular carcinoma, nonsmall-cell lung cancer, or pancreatic cancer

Meng Z et al. – No drug-limiting toxicity (DLT) occurred with the use of huachansu at doses up to 8x higher than typically used.

Methods

15 patients (HCC [n=11], NSCLC [n=2], pancreatic cancer [n=2]) received huachansu iv x 14d with a 7d rest x 2+ cycles
Doses of huachansu ranged from 10-90 mL/m2

Results

6 patients achieved SD
