Jatoi A et al.Infliximab did not prevent or palliate cancer-associated weight loss. Infliximab was associated with increased fatigue and inferior global quality of life.
Methods- Double blind trial with patients randomly assigned to infliximab/docetaxel (n=32) or placebo/docetaxel (n=29)
- Primary endpoint ≥ 10% weight gain
- No patients gained ≥ 10% weight
- Insignificant increase in appetite
- Greater fatigue and QOL in infliximab/docetaxel group
