HIV screening reactivity due to donor participation in HIV vaccine trials
Vox Sanguinis, 07/24/09
Kitchen AD et al. – The authors report two instances of human immunodeficiency virus (HIV) serological screening reactivity in blood donations which were subsequently determined to be due to donor participation in HIV vaccine trials. Both donations were screen reactive with atypical patterns on confirmation; no definitive conclusion could be given for either donor.
