Methods

  • Immunohistochemical, RT-PCR, and real-time PCR analysis of ZNRD1 expression in esophageal cancer

Results
  • Cytoplasmic staining pattern consistent in all epithelial cells for ZNRD1 antibody
  • ZNRD1 expression statistically correlated with differentiation, invasion depth, lymph node metastasis, pathologic stage, lymphatic and vascular invasion
  • Survival rates statistically lower for pts with ZNRD1-negative vs -positive tumors
  • ZNRD1 expression was downregulated in esophageal cancer tissues vs adjacent non-neoplastic tissues
