Stent Thrombosis Four and a Half Years After Implantation of A Sirolimus-Eluting Stent
The Hellenic Journal of Cardiology, 09/30/09
Korovesis S et al. – The authors report on a case of very late stent thrombosis, 51 months after implantation of a sirolimus–eluting stent and 15 months after clopidogrel discontinuation. This case underlines the possible need for long–term antiplatelet medication in patients receiving sirolimus–eluting stents.
