Schurmans J et al. – The authors present a patient with a Bjork–Shiley prosthetic mitral and aortic valve implantation and recurrent pulmonary edema. Echocardiogram showed a rate–dependent "obstruction alternans" of the prosthetic mitral valve due to pannus formation.
