Naik H et al. – Findings show no difference in mortality or major adverse cardiovascular or cerebrovascular events, for up to 3 yrs, between percutaneous coronary intervention (PCI) and coronary artery bypass grafting (CABG) for treatment of unprotected left main coronary artery (ULMCA) stenosis. However, PCI pts had a significantly higher risk of target vessel revascularization. In select pts with ULMCA stenosis, PCI is emerging as an acceptable option.
