Hastie CE et al. – Among pts undergoing percutaneous coronary intervention (PCI) for coronary artery disease, increased body mass index (BMI) was associated with improved 5-yr survival. Among pts with established coronary disease, adverse effects of excess adipose tissue may be offset by beneficial vasoactive properties.
