Cannesson M et al. – The number of adult patients with CHD is rapidly increasing, and these patients will be presenting with greater frequency for noncardiac surgery. The purpose of this article is to provide an overview of the long–term consequences and the preoperative and intraoperative implications of CHD for the anesthesiologist involved in the care of adults with CHD undergoing noncardiac surgery.
