Soehnlein O et al. - PMN granule proteins exert direct chemotactic effects, a mechanism which is of special importance in the early recruitment of inflammatory monocytes. Hence, granule proteins modify the monocyte extravasation cascade in a multifaceted manner ensuring the efficiency of these mechanisms.
