Luo ZG et al. - The results suggested that Astragalus membranaceus is potentially protective against daunorubicin cardiotoxicity by decreasing free radical release and apoptosis in cultured neonatal cardiomyocytes. The main subcellular distribution of daunorubicin may be in the mitochondria.
