This course seeks to underscore the importance of the proper diagnostic approach to, and treatment of, pulmonary arterial hypertension. It is often difficult to determine appropriate treatment and diagnostic pathways in certain populations of patients with this disorder. We seek, by way of literature (evidencebased), expert opinion, panel discussions and case presentations to educate physicians about how to detect, diagnose, treat and refer PAH patients to specialty centers. This is an often missed diagnosis that has proven treatments. The treatment and diagnostic paradigms for PAH are ever-evolving and frequent symposia such as this are necessary to keep specialty physicians updated and ensure current care is being delivered to PAH patients. |
