Nguyen KT et al. – Survival benefits can be achieved with resection for cholangiocarcinoma. Given the lack of effective alternative therapy, when confronted with the potential risk of positive margins or isolated nodal disease, the authors continue to advocate aggressive surgical resection for both hilar and peripheral CC with the ultimate goal of negative margin resection.
