Taxonera CS et al. – These include locally applied infliximab or tacrolimus, fistula plugs, instillation of fibrin glue and the use of adult expanded adipose–derived stem cell injection. More well–designed controlled studies are required to confirm the effectiveness of these emerging treatments.
